Why We Built This Site
Public access in Texas depends on who made the record. The Hopkins County Sheriff controls booking and local custody material, while the appropriate clerk keeps charges and case outcomes. Texas DPS maintains the statewide criminal-history repository. TDCJ and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry answer different custody and registration questions. We built this resource to make those boundaries, request paths, published fees, and official contacts easier to follow.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Texas court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing sheriff, court, or Texas Department of Public Safety can supply an official criminal record. We can identify the source, but that office must issue the document.
